Why Me: Day 4 Reflection
Luke 1:45, 50
45 Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!”
50 His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation.
Reflect.
Think of someone Whose support has helped to strengthen your faith. Draft here a note of thanks to that person, even if she or he is no longer living or you have lost touch. If it is possible, mail or delivers the note as a gift before Christmas.
Response.
Whose love and acceptance have helped you to know what it feels like to be called “blessed”? What words and actions of those individuals do you remember?
Response.
With what child or young person can you establish an ongoing relationship of blessing? Who needs a loving friend that you can be? Think of two or three people with whom you spend time regularly. In what way does each one need reassurance and “blessing”?
Response.
How can you convey God’s love to each one in your interactions?
Rest.
Listen as God says to you, “You are blessed and precious to me. I am With you.” What does this message mean to you today?
Pray a breath prayer.
For a breath prayer until your next time of reflection, consider praying, “O God, I bless your name.”
